Kitchen wine refrigerator and concrete countertops
So much has changed in kitchen design in the last 20 years. We are always getting calls from those who have kitchens from the 1990’s. They are poorly designed, typically closed off from the rest of the house and do not function well.
This client had one of the those kitchens and was ready to have something new. She loved color, she wanted her kitchen opened up to the rest of the house. She wanted it to feel eclectic and personal yet function and be inviting to family and guests.
I think we accomplished just that. From the open reclaimed wood shelves, paired with more traditional cabinets to the combination of concrete and quartz countertops we created a rustic yet contemporary feel in this kitchen. Note the cutting board as part of the prep area on the island. I love the combination of a circular seating area on the island and the linear prep area. It adds that needed bit of design that makes this kitchen pop!
I have to say I really love the whimsy of this kitchen, it will be wonderful for years to come.
