This client has a home with very clean lines, wonderful light and fantastic views. All it needed was a new kitchen. The existing kitchen had a lot of storage, but its function was somewhat limited by a cut up layout. The client wanted a transitional cabinet door in warm wood tones. By eliminating a small cabinet peninsula and adding an island with seating for two and moving wall ovens we were able to open up the “landing spaces” around the appliances and create a better work space.
We also kept the original wood floor and had it stained a darker color to provide a contrast with the new cabinets. By not allowing any of the finishes to become too dark it will all stand the test of time. We also remodeled the laundry room and created a much better use of the space.
